7 day on Sales; Listen, Build Trust, Understand what they need, Tell them what you can do, Asking for the sale, and closing the sale

Listen; You want to listen to your customer, because this is how you will know how to to sell them. They will literally tell you how to sell them because they are giving you the why and how important it is to them. Your customer is looking for someone that understands them as well. With that being said the more that they know you are listening and truly care about their needs the more your influence will matter when closing the sale.

Be kind and listen they will tell you what they need within this step. Sales people often go for the sale to quick making it impossible for them to know what they actually need or simply the customer doesn’t like you because you didn’t take the time to listen

Build Trust listening to them and communicating to them their concerns more than you think. This will build trust making the customer feel comfortable so they will not think that you are out there just trying to get another sale.

if you don’t go for the kill in the beginning you have the chance to build trust with your customer

Understand; the more you understand the more value you bring to them sometimes I try and relate to not just build trust but also have the customer know that you understand them because you have been through it also.

if you ever had an experience with a salesman where you feel like you all understand each other and you feel good about the situation. you will know it was a great experience

offer; Now that you have listened, built trust with them, understood them this is where it is your time to shine. You have now placed yourself in a position to show something that will help their situation get better whether it is product or service. Make sure you voice what it is and educated them on the product or service clearly.

in business its all about positioning yourself right, if you have made it to this step you have build credibility to your future client and can offer what you feel is best for him or her.

Ask for the sale. If a mouth doesn’t open it will not be fed. People have a hard time asking for the sale you are disrespecting yourself and the client you deserve to the money you are working for go out and get it.

making that sale is a hunt you have to be ruthless make it happen get that money!!

Close the sale make sure you have a POS system in place like a paypal, stripe, square space. Etc. Most importantly have your contracts in place for your client to sign its all about protecting yourself and your clients. Stick to good business habits so you and your client have a great working relationship.

Congratulations you have made the sale just make sure you under promise so you can position yourself to over deliver.

if you don’t close the sale. People will say no it happens sometimes more so than there are Yes’s we have all been through it. There is fortune in the follow up “ now might not be a good time for them but another time would be perfect. Before this point overcome any objections they may have from a trial to a return policy, what if this and that happens etc.

If all else fails keep their information and follow up with them check on how they are doing with their situation and that you are there to help.

People are busy and forget and they will be happy that you reached out creating another chance to close the sale. FORTUNE IN THE FOLLOW UP!
